BIO

I am an artist living in Chattanooga, TN with my husband and three children. I graduated from Davidson College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts and was awarded the James Pepper Art Scholarship while at Davidson. I spent a semester abroad studying art history in London and Paris and completed an independent study with Herb Jackson, one of North Carolina’s world-renowned abstract painters. In 2009, my husband Doug and I moved overseas to Bangkok, Thailand for a year and a half.  I worked as an art teacher at the UNHCR Bangkok Refugee center's school, teaching art to both children and adults.  Memories of my travels through southeast Asia continue to inspire my work today. I have exhibited my work in Chattanooga, TN, Atlanta, GA, Salzburg, Austria, New York, New York and Bangkok, Thailand. My artwork is included in many private and corporate collections, including the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville, TN.
